As COVID cases continue to break new records in India, the Delhi government has announced a weekend curfew. Weekend curfew has been announced with a goal to curb the spread of deadly Coronavirus. On Wednesday there was a record increase of 17282 cases in Delhi. So the government has been forced to take some extreme measures to stop the spread. Announcing the new measure, CM Kejriwal said, “We need to do something urgently to control the spike in Covid cases. For this, we have taken a decision that there will be a weekend curfew in Delhi. However, let me make it clear that essential services will be allowed, and people who are getting married will be issued special passes.”
If you live in Delhi, your weekend will look different from any other weekend now.
Gyms, pools, malls and auditoriums are closed till further notice.
Cinema halls will still be allowed to open but with a 30% capacity!
Only essential services will be allowed to remain open now.
Restaurants will be allowed t open, but no dine-in will be allowed. You may still order your favorite food.
Special passes will be issued for marriages and to travellers who need to go to railway station or the airport.
Basically, if you do not need to go out, please stay at home and curb the spread!
