Sudarshan Pattnaik is an internationally acclaimed sand artist. The veteran sand artist has set another record on Christmas in Puri this year. Sudarsan Pattnaik shaped the world’s biggest sand Santa-face with the message “world peace” on the Puri beach of Odisha. The Santa face is 25 feet high and 50 feet wide and will be placed in the Limca Book of World Records. He has also created a sand sculpture of Jesus Christ in front of the Santa face. He has used about 600 tonnes of sand containing colored sand.

The Santa festival started on 25th’s evening and will continue till January 1. With 1000 Santa Clauses, Sudarsan is eying to break his 2012 Limca Book record of sculpturing 500 sand Santa Clauses. It took Pattnaik and his team of 35 students from his sand art school four days and about 1000 tons of sand to carve a thousand sand Santa Clauses.

It looks like Pattnaik is about to make a history and a record officially in the Limca Book of Records. It is really a work of art that is outshining the odds of hard labor and time.  The message of world peace is well delivered to all the people around the globe by the Santa statues.

We are thankful to Sudarshan Pattnaik for his immense artistic work.
