Sara and Leela have been best friends since school. They have always been very close, having shared every little thing with each other. But recently Sara has been hiding something from Leela. Sara has discovered that Leela’s boyfriend is cheating on her. She is not sure if she should break this news to her best friend.

This is a very common dilemma, and women often find themselves in the middle of it. Consider this problem logically. What would happen if Sara broke this news to her best friend? Leela could possibly be incredulous at first. But eventually she would find out that this is true indeed. She may blame Sara for her break-up, but in her heart she would know that Sara saved her from an unhappy relationship.

On the other hand, what if Sara keeps this piece of information to herself. She would allow her friend to be cheated on forever. She would be responsible for her friend’s eventual unhappiness. Moreover, if Leela found out later that Sara knew about this, she would never forgive Sara for keeping this information from her.

So this dilemma is not really a dilemma at all. If you know your friend is being cheated on, and if you really care about your friend…go on and tell her!
