The evolution of mankind is not hidden news to the world. The scientific world is in awe with the recent buzzing news coming from NASA that they found the long lost India’s lunar rover after 8 years.

 NASA scientists have discovered the India’s first lunar probe – Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft – which was considered lost is still orbiting the moon. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) lost communication with Chandrayaan-1 on August 29, 2009, almost a year after it was launched on October 22, 2008. It is also told that the NASA found it orbiting the moon and they say that the satellite has various images captured that can help the world in knowing more about space and its dangers.

 According to scientists allied with Chandrayaan-1, the discovery reveals the enlargement of radar technologies that can even guard the earth against being struck by objects like asteroids. 

Scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California have located the spacecraft still circling some 200 kilometers above the lunar surface using a new ground-based radar technique. The Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft is very small, a cube about 1.5 meters on each side – about half the size of a smart car. To find a spacecraft 380,000 kilometers away, JPL’s team used a 70-metre antenna at NASA’s Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex in California to send out a powerful beam of microwaves directed towards the moon.

 During its 315-day mission duration in 2008-09, ISRO’s Chandrayaan-1 reported finding water on the surface of the moon. We are just waiting for the recent reports from the Chandrayaan-1 that is captured and stored within its data. ISRO and NASA are both intrigued after knowing that lost lunar rover is still in place and have a lot to share with humankind.
