If you spend any time on Social media, you must know about the #MeToo campaign. This was the voice of millions of women across the world, telling stories of sexual harassment. There have been so many stories of regular ordinary women that it makes you wonder if there are any women out there who have not experienced harassment at some point in their lives.
But you will be glad to know that these stories of harassment have affected some men in the most unuaual way. After the #MeToo campaign, there is now a new campaign on social media – #HowIWillChange. This is men saing how they will try to make the world a safer place for women. This campaign started when Australian writer Benjamin Law tweeted in reaction to #MeToo. He reached out to men saying:
“Guys, it’s our turn. After yesterday’s endless #MeToo stories of women being abused, assaulted and harassed, today we say #HowIWillChange.
To this mean reacted with tweets like “Regularly donate to a women’s shelter in my area,” “Pull up men I know on sexism & report them for rape.
