Losing weight is not as easy as it looks like. With increasing age, the weight loss procedure turns around to be a bit different that needs to be highlighted to be certain about the connection between your age and weight loss. In your teens, 20s, and 30s, you may have noticed that excess weight came off easily. However, it is different when you passed your 30’s. Losing weight requires more effort as you reach middle age due to the various factors.

Excess weight combined with the strain of aging can make you more responsive to illness and shorten your life. For middle age and older individuals, poor lifestyle habits and changes in metabolism can make weight loss difficult.

Here we have some reasons that clearly highlights the connection between age and weight loss:

>Aging Muscles: Your muscle tissue spontaneously shrinks and loses mass as you age. When your muscle cells diminish, unburned calories are more likely to become fat and thus increasing your weight more with growing age.

>Physical Strain: As you age, you will be unable to do activities you once enjoyed. Physical strain with growing age will not allow your body to lose weight easily. Weight loss can be hard if you’re used to a set amount of time for exercise.

>Lifestyle Changes: You may experience many lifestyle changes, both good and bad, as you age. After being employed for your whole life, you may see old age as a period of protracted vacation. Relaxation like this can lead to over-indulgence in unhealthy foods without the benefit of daily exercise and results into an unwanted weight hike that is hard to demolish.

So, there is a connection between your age and weight loss. You must take effective actions to remain healthy in every zone of your life cycle.
