Bebo Is Insecure!

What would make you insecure if you were one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood?

Competition, Right? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to guess who makes Kareena Kapoor insecure. After the debacle of most of her films in 2009, Bebo has decided to take matters into her own hands. The lady is not ready to share the limelight with anyone anymore. That clearly means that Kareena will not work in multi-heroine projects any more.

2009 was a “thanda” year for Bebo. The only saving grace for Kareena are two of her films that did well this year, “Golmaal Returns” and “3 Idiots”. Interestingly, she did not get (or deserve) much credit for the success of either of these films. Her small roles in both these films did nothing for her acting career. This is why Kareena has made sure that there are no other leading ladies in Golmaal 3, besides herself. A little birdie has reported that Golmaal 3 was planned to be a 5 heroine film. But when Bebo was told that she would be playing one of these 5 roles, she blew her top. She found it very offensive and insulting to her star status! She insisted that she would associate with the film only if all the other 4 female lead roles were edited out of the film completely!

Rohit Shetty, the man behind Golmaal franchise, was left with no choice but to agree to Bebo’s demands. Kareena’s popularity amongst the masses and the media cannot be taken lightly. If the lady demands something from her directors, they usually give it to her. So from a 3 heroine film, Golmaal will now turn to a 1 heoine film.

Golmaal 3 will now star the 5 guys Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgan, Sharman Joshi, Tushaar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade. What’s more, Kareena will not be cast opposite any of these guys. She will in fact, be playing one of the gang. In Rohit’s words, “Kareena will be the only female lead along with the five boys – Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi and Shreyas Talpade. However, she will not be the romantic interest of any of the heroes. In fact, Kareena will be one of them – the sixth hero! I have also made sure ‘Golmaal 3’ is more family-oriented. The boys’ jokes in ‘Golmaal Returns’ won’t return.”

For now the lovely lady is basking in the success of her latest film 3 Idiots. Let us hope that the new year will prove to be luckier for Bebo than the last year.
