Rural India is all set to be connected with the Financial World that the urban India lives in. The UPA government is setting in motion its plan for financil inclusion of the rural India. So it is creating 5 lakh new banking jobs just for the rural areas. How the government plans to achieve this objective is no surprise either! These jobs will be created via the UPA government’s flagship project of Direct Cash Benefits Transfers.
“The idea is that every household in the country should have access to banking services and their savings should be channelised into the organised banking network,” Rajiv Takru, secretary, financial services told HT. The government is set to create 5-6 lakh Banking Correspondent jobs in rural areas in the next couple of months. More than 1.5 lakh such jobs have already been created in the government banks in last few months. The payscales for these jobs would be around Rs. 5000 per month.
If you or anyone you know lives in a rural area, this is an opportunity you might not want to miss!
