As most countries begin to ease restrictions and lift their lockdowns, World Health Organisation has warned that the situation is far from being good. It is in fact, worsening day by day.
WHO has revealed that over 100,000 new cases have been reported on 9 out of last 10 days. Coronavirus is raging rapidly in South Asia and the Americas. It also points out concern about the current protests against racism, sparked by the death of George Floydd. People are gathering in large numbers at these protests in various cities across the globe. WHO warns that protestors should be very careful as the risk of contracting Coronavirus is very high at large gatherings.
Over 7 million people have been affected by COVID-19 across the world. Out of these at least 403,000 could not survive the illness. The situation is improving in Europe but worsening overall.
This warning comes as a reminder that nobody should get complacent. We need to be vigilant every moment, for the sake of our families and the society.
