So green leafy vegetables, citrus fruit, fatty fish, eggs, nuts and beans are great for keeping your eyes in good health. 2. Protect yourself against the UV rays of sun. Eyeglasses are your best friends when out in the sun. Choose a frame that covers your eyes and some area around them. 3. Quit smoking. Smoking puts you at an increased risk for macular degeneration, optic nerve damage and cataracts. 4. Wear anti glare glasses when using the computer or laptop. 5. When working at a screen, look away for a minute after every 20 minutes. 6. Blink more often, especially if your eyes feel dry. 7. If you live in an environment where air is dry, it is likely that you will suffer from dry eyes. Buy OTC artificial tears to moisten your eyes regularly.
