The General Motors company came up with a diet plan ti improve the health and fitness of its employees. It is claimed that with this diet one can lose 5-8 kg within a week, and even get rid of the belly bags. This diet also enhances the glow on skin, flushes out toxins and improves the quality of life. Wanna try?
Day 1: On the first day of the GM diet, you can eat only fruit. Eat as much fruit as you want but say NO to Bananas, Litchi, Mangoes and Grapes. There is no restriction on number of times you eat or the amount you eat. If you miss salt, just a pop a hajmola!
Day 2: The second day is reserved for veggies only. Start the day with a boiled potato, creamed with a teaspoon of butter. No potato allowed for the rest of the day. Eat any vegetables boiled, raw or cooked without oil through the rest of the day.
Day 3: The 3rd day is a combination of the first 2 days. So you can eat vegetables and fruit on this day. But remember, Bananas and Potatoes are not allowed on Day 3. This day will really test your patience, but the rewards expectation should keep your morale up!
Day 4: The 4th day gets better as you are allowed to eat bananas and drink milk. Nice change? You can have up to 6 bananas and 4 glasses of milk on this day. You can also have clear vegetable soup made with capsicum, garlic, onions and tomatoes. This day is to restore the balance of potassium and sodium that have been missing from your diet in the last 3 days.
Day 5: The diet is now getting better taste wise. So you can have tomatoes, sprouts and paneer on this day. You can also have chicken or soy chunks. For filling up, go for the clear soup again!
Day 6: The sixth day is just a repetition of Day 5, except that tomatoes are not allowed. You can add other vegetables however.
Day 7: This is the feast day where you can celebrate the success of your week long diet that has made you feel lighter and happier. So you can have fruit juice on this day. You can also have a bowl of rice or half a chapati with your favorite vegetables on this day.
If you wish to repeat this 7 day regime, please give yourself a break of 3-7 days before you try it a second time!
