Zeenat Aman files a molestation case against a businessman in Mumbai
Veteran Bollywood actor Zeenat Aman has filed a molestation and stalking case against a businessman at Juhu police station in Mumbai on Monday.
Reportedly, In her complaint, the actor stated that the businessman allegedly molested her over the last few months. An investigation has been launched against the businessman, who is currently absconding, according to ANI. “Veteran actor Zeenat Aman files a complaint of stalking and criminal intimidation against a businessman in Mumbai. Police begin investigation, the businessman is absconding,” ANI’s tweet read.
The complaint has been registered under sections 304 D (stalking) and 509 (insulting modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
The police said the two had known each other for a while; however, the relationship had soured over some issues following which Aman had stopped talking to the businessman. Nevertheless, the businessman allegedly kept calling and following her.
Zeenat Aman is one of the most popular actresses of the 70s. She is the star of films such as Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Yaadon Ki Baraat, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Heera Panna, Qurbani, Don and several others.
Zeenat Aman is often considered one of the most influential actresses of Hindi cinema during the late 70s and 80s. She is credited to revive the modern fashion sense in Indian films. A former beauty pageant holder — second runners-up in Miss India and Miss Asia Pacific in 1970 — Aman has been seen in a diverse range of films from Hare Ram Hare Krishna, Heera Panna, Don, Satyan Shivam Sundaram, Qurbani, Lawaris, Insaaf ka Tarazu to name a few.
