In a recent interview, the actress revealed that while she was always interested in dramatics, it was always behind closed doors. In fact, she had even given her law entrance exam. One day, she was asked to audition for a TV show and was selected and that is how her journey in the entertainment world began.

The actress added that while it took a couple of years to establish herself in Bollywood, she was excited with the kind of roles that were coming her way now. She said that she was happy to take up challenging roles that added to the storyline in a positive way. On the work front, Yami has ‘A Thursday’ and ‘Bhoot Police’ in her kitty.
