Vidya Balan, who is currently busy with the promotion of Tumhari Sulu, keen to work with SRK, but she has not been offered any film with him.
Tumhari Sulu,The trailer has impressed one and all. The talented actress’ past few films haven’t made much money at the box office but insecurity has never bothered the actress.
Talking about the same she said, “I think it is because of my upbringing. It is my parents who have brought me up in a particular manner. When I say family, I mean mom, dad, sister and brother-in-law. I am also fortunate to find a person in Siddharth (Roy Kapur) who doesn’t tell me that you should be like this. My parents brought up my sister and I as our own people. They never compared us to anyone else. I give full credit to my family for this, and I am lucky to meet Siddharth. I believe each one of us is unique”.
We have hardly seen Vidya in a film with any of the superstars. In fact, other than Emraan Hashmi she has not worked with any truly big name. Does she not want to work with someone like a Shah Rukh Khan?
To this she added, “I have not been offered any film with SRK. I am very happy with the kind of films and work that I am getting. If people come up with interesting scripts with established actors I will be more than happy to work in such projects.
She continued, I am very particular about what is offered to me. I want to work with all good actors in the industry. I don’t want to take names. We have some fantastic talent out there.”
The actress also shed light on her role in the CBFC. “People really don’t know how the CBFC works. People from different walks of life come together and make a panel that sees films and suggests modifications. If producers-directors have a problem with the changes then they go to the revising committee. It is also made up of people from varied fields and has a 50:50 male-female equation. The process is new but enjoyable,” she said. Vidya signed off by saying that Prasoon Joshi was a balanced person and working with him was a nice experience.
