Taapsee Pannu introduces her character in ‘Soorma’
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has established a rather crucial spot in the Bollywood industry.
With her versatility playing the key highlight, Taapsee has consistently given stellar performances on the big screen and proved her indispensability to the Hindi film industry. The actress has been preparing quite hard for her projects after ‘Judwaa 2’.
Her upcoming film ‘Soorma’ where she will essay the role of a sportsperson is based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh.
Directed by Shaad Ali, the film also stars Diljit Dosanjh playing the male lead. The movie narrates the inspiring story of ace hockey player Sandeep Singh, who was paralysed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006.
Fighting against all odds, Sandeep got back on his feet and made a comeback to international hockey in 2008.
India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup under his captaincy and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics. Taapsee underwent immense training for prepping for her role in the movie. In fact, reports stated that she was trained by Sandeep Singh himself.
She recently took to her social media to unveil her character Harpreet.
