Sushant Singh Rajput, who is last seen in Mahendra Singh Dhoni biopic, admits that he still slips into MS Dhoni's character, even after the film is over.
During his next film 'Raabta' promotion, Sushant chats about his film and how he prepared for it.
Do your generation of actors rely on prep? He said, Preparation is required. Acting is a delicate job. You know that I am not a Dhoni but I have to convince you that I am him.
A senior actor says, 'Hum log acting dil se karte hai', agree?
People say, 'There are method actors and there are spontananeous actors.' There is always a method to spontaneity. The thing is, you prepare for a while so that you start behaving in a different way to what comes naturally to you. You do it so many times that it becomes a part of you.
Further he was asked, Your Dhoni prep worked.
Yes, the mannerisms still come sometimes and I ask myself: Why am I behaving like this? It takes a lot to convince the audience what you are watching could be true.
Correct, because you are seeing him for years...
I am self-obsessed like that for some reason - in this photoshoot. I had to take my shirt off and walk and suddenly I was walking like Dhoni. So yes, it still happens.
