Sonali Bendre says she cried and didn't sleep all night when she was diagnosed with cancer
Last year, when Sonali Bendre shared that she is diagnosed with cancer, everyone was shaken. The actress then went to New York for her treatment and after getting treated there for months, she returned to India in December 2018.
During the period of her treatment, Sonali's husband Goldie Behl and friends Gayatri Oberoi and Sussanne Khan were there by her side and showered her with all the love and support.
The trio recently shot for BFFs With Vogue which is hosted by Neha Dhupia. On the show, Sonali shared how she felt when she first got to know that she is diagnosed with cancer.
Sonali said, "When we heard it, it was like, 'Oh, my God', we've been hit by a train. I hadn't slept at all and that was the night I acknowledged everything, accepted everything that this is it. This is going to be my last crying of how did I get this and why is this happening with me."
About her friends Sussanne and Gayatri, Sonali said, "These girls were just there with me. They have been my strength.
From now on, it's going to be happiness and smiles. I saw the sun coming up, clicked a picture and shared it with my family and my girls, and said, 'Girls, Switch on the Sunshine'." Sonali Bendre also said, "Goldie and I are married for 16 years. And when I came to know about cancer, I realised Goldie is the most important person I care about."
