With people in lockdown mode, many of them have been posting about their home routine and chores and cooking.
We asked Shama Sikander about her daily routine in these days.
The actress divulges, “My day starts normally, I wake up, take a shower and eat my breakfast and then get onto my chores like cleaning and washing utensils. I also clean my cupboard sometimes and rearrange my stuff if that needs to be done.” She adds, “I don’t usually like to cook, but nowadays since I have more time on hand, I may end up cooking. There are also a lot of items I have bought long ago and haven’t used. I like to clean stuff though, that is something that gives me a lot of joy. I also like to paint, and I am looking for a couple of canvases. Other than that, I like to write whatever thoughts or shayari come into my mind.”
Exercise is also on her agenda.
“I think being fit strengthens the immune system. I like to go down in the building and walk, of course, if no one is around, keeping the measures for social distancing in mind. Once I am back, I speak to my friends online – ask them what they are feeling or going through. I also watch TV and then sleep.”
Meanwhile, Shama’s making sure she’s practising three beauty therapies in lockdown.
She says, “It’s just a basic skincare daily routine of washing, toner and then adding face cream, nothing else. Once a week I like to apply a hydrating mask as well. I have a collection of these masks at home. If you don’t have it, then just apply honey on the face; it works well for hydration.”
