Shah Rukh Khan and his son, Aryan Khan have lent their voices to Simba and Mufasa’s characters in the Hindi version of The Lion King. Ahead of the release, Shah Rukh revealed why the film holds a special place in his heart.
Shah Rukh Khan and his son, Aryan Khan surprised everyone by announcing the news about dubbing for the upcoming live-action Hollywood film, The Lion King.
King Khan has lent his voice to Mufasa while Aryan has dubbed for Simba in the Hindi version of the film. While the news surely made his fans completely excited, many were intrigued to know why Shah Rukh picked The Lion King. The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau has also directed the live action version of the film.
In a recent chat, Shah Rukh revealed that The Lion King has always been extremely special for his family and him.
The Zero actor cited the lack of any human in the story as one of the reasons for liking The Lion King. Also, Shah Rukh mentioned that the story of Simba and Mufasa captures the father-son relationship in the most beautiful way. Thus, he clarified that he loves The Lion King due to this reason. Shah Rukh stated that its a film that one can watch at any age and will always be entertained.
The Lion King is a live-action film which is directed by Jon Favreau and is the story of Simba who takes his father Mufasa’s place as the king. It is being released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 19, 2019.
The Zero actor said, “For one, it didn't have a human being in it, and (secondly) it was a film that was based on the relationship of a father and a son. That was special. It's the kind of movie that you can watch with all your children, whatever age and stage they are at. Even without being an actor and just as an audience, the movie is a wholesome experience. It's a complete film.” The Lion King isn’t the first film in which Shah Rukh and Aryan have lent their voices. Back in the days for The Incredibles, Shah Rukh and Aryan had dubbed in Hindi.
