Sara Ali Khan: I am aware of nepotism and the unfairness that it might come with
In an interview, Sara Ali Khan was asked about nepotism. The actress said that she is aware she has easy access than those who are not from the film industry.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath last year. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film also starred Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. Sara received a lot of appreciation from the critics and the audience for her performance in the film. Not only her acting, because of her interviews the people adore her for her confidence and cheerful attitude.
The actress is being called the next big thing in Bollywood. While some say she got is easy because of her celebrity parents, many are looking forward to more of her performances in the films.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sara was asked about the pressure of being a star kid and living up to her parents' legacy. She said that her parents have always been supportive of everything she did.
Sara said, "Some comments that I get from people are politically incorrect to quote because one of them said, “We are glad that nepotism has brought people like Sara Ali Khan”.
That is a huge compliment because I am aware of nepotism and the unfairness that it might come with. I am aware that I have access to more things in the industry than other people do. But, I don’t think that it’s pressure."
The Simmba actress added that she was never averse to pressure.
The only thing she wants to do is make her mark in the film industry. She wants people to remember her for the characters she plays and not just Saif Ali Khan's daughter whenever people walk out of the theatres.
