Salman Khan too veteran to lead a superhero film
After Hrithik Roshan passed Rohit Dhawan’s script after a few reads and a few rewrites, Salman Khan too has given the film a pass.
Salman was being considered to play the role of a superhero in the film directed by Rohit Dhawan for producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Given Sajid’s proximity to Salman, it was being speculated that the Pocket Hercules of Bollywood would sign up but the actor has not.
“Salman felt that he was not of the right age to play a superhero.
Salman is the youngest of the three Khans but is in his 54th year now and he felt playing a superhero at this age would not augur well for the film’s prospects as well. That’s the reason why he has chosen a Korean film like Veteran to remake along with his brother in law Atul Agnihotri,” says a trade source.
Veteran is a Korean film about a detective who gets behind an arrogant young millionaire who uses his money to break the law and evade justice. The 2015 film was the fourth biggest Korean film of all time.
Incidentally, Salman’s current film Bharat is also a remake of Korean film Ode To My Father.
