With Dabangg 3, Sonakshi Sinha will be racing past the 25 films mark before the year comes to an end. Having completed a decade in the industry, the actress has established a strong foothold and has proven to be a phenomenal performer. Be it a matured act in Lootera and Kalank or a loving Rajjo in Dabangg series, she has done it all.
While Sonakshi, in these ten years has worked with all big stars in Bollywood, all she now desires is to team up with her father Shatrughan Sinha.
The 32-year-old actress, during an interview with a leading daily, told that sadly the scripts written for them aren't giving both of them the right scope to perform. Demanding that the film should be extraordinarily written, Sonakshi hoped to star opposite Shatrughan for the first time soon.
"It's so sad that nobody is writing roles that do justice to both of us. I want a film that is extraordinarily written, with both characters etched beautifully.
In the offers we've got so far, either the father's or the daughter's character took a backseat; it was never at par with the other in terms of screen presence and strength. It might not be a father-daughter movie that we'd like to do. It would be nice to simply begin with one, as we would be doing it for the first time," Sonakshi told.
Talking of Dabangg 3, the film, directed by Prabhudheva and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi, stars Salman, Sonakshi, Saiee Manjrekar, Sudeep, Mahesh Manjrekar and Pramod Khanna.
It is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019. Dabangg 3 revolves around Chulbul Pandey's journey from a local goon to becoming the Robin Hood cop in recent times. Sonakshi plays the role of his wife Rajjo in the current period with Saiee being his love interest, Khushi in his youth. Sudeep is the main antagonist Balli, who locks horns with Salman in this intense action, romance and full of drama, entertainer.
