Versatile actress Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar will be seen playing the world's oldest sharpshooters - Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar in the upcoming film 'Saand Ki Aankh'.
The film revolves around the life of India's oldest sharpshooters. Chandro Tomer, nicknamed Shooter Dadi is 87 years of age, while Prakashi Tomer, nicknamed Revolver Dadi, is 82 years of age.
Both of them have won more than 30 championships after the age of 65. Taapsee plays the role of Prakashi while Bhumi essays the role of Chandro in the film.
The film is jointly produced by Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar.
'Saand Ki Aankh' will mark the directorial debut of writer Tushar Hiranandani who has written films like 'Main Tera Hero', 'Ek Villain' and 'Half Girlfriend'. The film was earlier titled as 'Womaniya'.
The story of the film narrates the tale of two women who broke away from the bounds of a patriarchal society and rose above their age.
Taapsee and Bhumi had been teasing their fans and followers with BTS pictures and posters from the film. The makers have dropped a new still today to mark the National Sports Day. The picture shows the two ladies clad in traditional Haryanvi attire with their shooting cards in their hands. The smile of their face tells the rest of the story.
