Actress-director Konkana Sen Sharma and husband Ranvir Shorey hit Splitsville in early 2016, after five years of matrimony.
The two had started dating in 2007, and were married in 2010, in a private observance.
The pair, which has a four-yr-old son, Haroon, may have announced their split following prolonged speculation about the commonwealth of their marriage, but they appear to be quite sorted on the professional front.
They have both starred together in films such as Traffic Signal, Mixed Doubles, Aaja Nachle, and Gour Hari Daastan, to name a few.
Konkana also marked her directorial debut with A Death in the Gunj, which is slated to be released on June 2, after receiving appreciation in film festivals across the globe. The film also stars her ex-husband Ranvir, in a pivotal role.
When we quizzed Ranvir about working with his late mate, he delivered a rather level-headed take on it. “Even before she began directing the movie, I would tell her certain things near it,” he states.
“But it wasn’t what I stated, but what her mother (Aparna Sen) said that she took badly. I saw her springing up the script and sending it. She has worked really hard for it. She deserves all the success, and more. She used to sleep just four hours during the shoot. She managed everyone so well on the sets — from cameras to actors, to the production department. We took our son Haroon along too, so it was fun and got him a separate tent on the sets.”
