While Bollywood stars dying to get a chance to do a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, reportedly Randeep Hooda has united for Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his next production.
SLB, who recently intrigued viewers when he announced his next film, Inshallah, has reportedly decided on the lead protagonist for his another film.
The filmmaker, who is directing Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in his next directorial, has got on board Randeep Hooda for his next production, a thriller, which is yet to be titled. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film is expected to go on floors in August this year.
The report states that the film, which will mark the directorial debut of Balwinder Singh Janjua, will be set in a small town.
Janjua has previously written Mubarakan, Firangi and has also penned the yet-to-release, Saand Ki Aankh. Informing the tabloid that Randeep will play a cop in the film, the source stated that the director is set to start the recce soon. The source has been quoted as saying, "Randeep plays a cop in the film which has a lot of twists and turns. Balwinder has been working on the script for a long time and recently started pre-production. He will start the recce shortly."
The source also informed the portal that Randeep "suits the role to the T" and will kickstart his preparation "closer to the shooting date".
Besides this production venture, Bhansali's next, Inshallah, has also got the viewers excited. While not much is known about the film yet, the fact that it brings together Alia and Salman for the first time is reason enough for viewers to await the big budget film.
Meanwhile, who was last seen in Baaghi 2, co-starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, will next star in Imtiaz Ali's remake of Love Aaj Kal, featuring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan in the lead.
Interestingly, this will not be the first cop-avatar for Randeep, who has portrayed different shades of the said profession in films including Baaghi 2, Kick, Jannat 2 and Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai.
