The case was filed by well-known dialogue-writer Abbas Tyrewala way back in the year 2013.
Lawyer Hitesh Jain argued that Preity Zinta gave the cheque to Tyrewala on the undertaking that he would not deposit it without informing her, a contention which was accepted by the magistrate, who acquitted her
The court had begun the hearing on the case from May 2014 and the arguments had concluded in January this year. After hearing both the side the Magistrate court on Monday acquitted Preity Zinta from all the charges.
As per the report, the court has considered all the issues and acquitted Preity Zinta.
However, Neha added, “we are yet to get a final copy of the order to see the reasoning.”
The case was filed in 2013 by well-known dialogue-writer Abbas Tyrewala, who had the contract for writing eight lines of voiceover for a movie 'Ishkq in Paris'.
He was asked to deliver it in a short time frame. He has issued a cheque in advance which he could encash on the delivery of work.

PrietyZinta was acquitted in the case filed by scriptwriter Abbas Tyrewala, said her lawyer Hitesh Jain.
