Huma Qureshi starrer 'Partition 1947' new poster looks like a compelling watch
The makers of 'Viceroy's House' have changed the title of their film to 'Partition 1947' helmed by Gurinder Chadha.
The film is a British-Indian historical drama which stars Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, and Michael Gambon.
Huma Qureshi, who is making her international debut with the film, says she has put her heart and soul in the 'moving' tale of the India-Pakistan partition.
A brand new poster for the film is out now and the film promises to be a compelling watch.
Huma essays the role of Aalia, a Muslim woman, falling for a Hindu boy, Jeet (Manish) who works at the Viceroy's House.
But they are ripped apart as borderlines are redrawn. Hugh plays the role of Lord Mountbatten, the man charged with handing over India back to Indians, and Huma is his interpreter.
