After impressing one and all with his brilliant performances, Pankaj Tripathi has created niche for himself in Bollywood. The talented actor is now all set to play the lead role for the first time in his life in his upcoming film. Pankaj Tripathi will be playing the lead role in his upcoming film, ‘Kaagaz’ which is being backed by none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Speaking about bagging the project he reportedly told a news portal that he is humbled with all the love that is coming his way.
Talking to IANS about his choices of films, he said, “With such great work comes the responsibility of living up to people’s expectations. I am elated that people are showering me with such love and thus, I try extra hard to ensure that I don’t compromise on the quality. I still choose my films with care, go for characters that I feel attuned with. I am happy about the kind of movies I am in this year. Each of the films has given me gratification and joy. I hope to continue to look for solid work. The good thing about success is that it inspires you to work harder.”
Pankaj will be seen playing the role of Lal Bihari, a farmer who was declared dead on paper. The movie is based on a real life story. Produced by Salman Khan Productions, the film is being helmed by Satish Kaushik.
Apart from this, Pankaj Tripathi has a line-up of some very interesting projects in his pockets. He will next be seen in ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ which stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. He will also be seen in Laxman Utekar’s ‘Mimi’ which stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role.
The ace actor is also part of Anurag Basu’s ‘Ludo’ and Kabir Khan’s ‘’83’ starring Ranveer Singh and others. Salman, on the other hand, will next be seen in Prabhudheva's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'.
The movie will also star Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in key roles.
