The trailer of Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Noor is out! The film sees Sonakshi Sinha playing a journalist and the story revolves around her misadventures - some happy, some sad.
The film, based on the Pakistani novel Karachi, You're Killing Me, the books tell the story of a young journalist unable to tolerate the elite of Karachi.
Sonakshi Sinha has fairly been credited for being a talented actress, but her choice of films have surprisingly been lacklustre.
However, the actress seems to be in no mood to compromise now, with 'Noor' looking like a film that is hell-bent on exploiting her acting credentials.
The breezy film, has Sonakshi played the eponymous character, a vivacious and spunky journalist based out of Mumbai, with her own quarter-life crises.
The actress has a funny man for a best friend in Kanan Gill, who's making his feature film debut with the film, and quite the hots for a salt-and-peppered Purab Kohli.
The actress is credibly vulnerable and ambitious, and quite convincing in her portrayal from what one can see in the trailer.
The film has also jumped into the bandwagon of revisiting old classics, with a revamped version of the cult hit 'Gulaabi Aankhen' featured in the film.
Helmed by Sunhil Sippy and adpated from the bestseller, 'Karachi, You're Killing Me!', 'Noor' is slated to release on April 21.
