Mumbai Police Commissioner, Param Bir Singh on Monday issued a formal statement to the media about their ongoing investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise.
Sushant Singh Rajput Googled about ‘painless death’ before suicide
In their latest addressal, the police ruled out reports about a rumoured party at the actor’s house the night before his demise, while also stating that in the cops have ‘not spared anyone’ and have recorded about 56 statements till date. During the conference, the Commissioner also revealed that the actor Google searched for a ‘painless death’, among other things.
The police also retrieved material from his laptop and phone, which apparently had a message from the actor to his lawyer asking ‘Who is Disha Salian, please find out.’
The actor was reportedly “upset” about being linked to the celebrity manager who reportedly died by suicide on June 9. Reports doing the rounds claimed that Disha was Sushant’s former manager and that the Bihar Police would also be conducting a formal investigation into her tragic demise as well.
The Mumbai Police have also investigated the alleged ‘missing’ funds amounting to 13-14 crores, and state that the money has been “accounted for”.
Although the police have not yet found evidence of money being transferred to Rhea Chakraborty’s account, they are still investigating for ‘any other link’ in the funds. Last week, Sushant’s CA had dismissed reports of an alleged 15 crore money transfers to Rhea, as stated by Sushant’s father KK Singh, in his FIR to the Patna police.
