The COVID-19 lockdown marked a pause on many things in daily life – work, meeting extended family, going to the gym or taking part in other engagements. But it also gave people to a chance to slow down and discover things.
Karishma Sharma says she feels energized and ready for her next stint now that that we are in unlock mode.
She shares that she has developed a deep gratitude towards everything and has discovered that life is much more than just work, earnings and fame in all this time. The actress learnt quite a few things during the lockdown which would carry over into the new phase and help her. For one, she’s picked up cooking and loves dishing up meals for her family, which she otherwise wouldn’t have got time for. She also cycles sometimes in the streets to just enjoy the weather and the breeze.
Speaking about this, she says, “I am extremely thankful for the lockdown as it allowed me to spend time with my family.
She Continued, I also enjoyed learning – I’ve watched a lot of acclaimed movies of directors such as Zoya Akhtar and Satyajit Ray and it’s given me a new perspective on cinema. The situation so far has been grim, but it's also important to look at the brighter side of things. We all have been able to have valuable time that has made us look deep within. It's been a good time to reflect and look at the important aspects and just be thankful for things. We have also realised some things can be so precious.” She adds on a positive note, “I think we will all come out better beings and stronger beings, definitely.”
