Kabir Singh is sprinting towards box-office glory. The Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer enjoyed a superb weekend at the ticket counters with Sunday collections bringing the film’s total net wins to Rs 67 Crore approximately.
Raking in a cool Rs 25 Crore approx at the box-office on Sunday, Kabir Singh might find a historic spot in collection charts.
It is being estimated that the Sunday figures could be the best of the year, so far. Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer, Bharat, did similar business and if Kabir Singh outperforms it in final collections, the movie could very well have top Sunday collections of the year.
Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer, Kabir Singh, that had a great start at the box-office, collecting Rs 20 Crore on Friday, has taken a major leap on Day 2.
The film has emerged as Shahid's biggest opener so far. Maintaining its ground on Day 2, Kabir Singh raked in Rs 22.71 Crore - thus taking the total collection to Rs 42 Crore, approx.
The film that released across 3123 screens seems unstoppable and unshakeable.
SpotboyE.com Editor, Vickey Lalwani rated the film 3.5 stars and wrote, “Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh is as good as he was as Aditya Kashyap in Jab We Met, if not more. Finally, the actor has made the right choice. After a spew of films that you wondered why he did them, he hits you hard and says, "I am back". Quite identified with his anger as long as it was not on the wrong side of the law; if you love somebody you ought to be fierce about your bloody feelings, else better not love. Do what your heart says is right, you have only one life. Don't think what the world will say, nobody can actually feel what you're undergoing and so they're just basically consoling you. Right, Sandeep Reddy Vanga (director)? Isn't just that what you are saying in KS? He further added, “Well done, Shahid! And, am glad that Kiara is doing more films now. The pretty girl had gone into a forced hibernation after the Dhoni biopic. Well done, Kiara.” Trade experts believe the film is eyeing a cool Rs 70 Crore (give or take) in overall weekend collections.
