Filmmaker Karan Johar has created a lot of excitement ever since his announcement of the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade . Seems like after Kabir Singh- which was a remake of Arjun Reddy- has started the trend of remakes in Bollywood.
Since the official announcement, there have been rumours that Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter will be roped in for the lead roles for the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade.
The duo created magic in their debut performances in the film Dhadak and as per rumours, Karan Johar wanted to play it safe and has roped in the two.
The buzz was not confirmed by the filmmaker yet and was only based on speculations.
However, recently, Karan Johar recently took to Twitter to clarify about the same. The actor shared a post to send his best wished to the team of Dear Comrade, the one starring Vijay Deverakonda. While wishing them all the best for the release on July 26, the director also took the opportunity to share that all rumours of the lead casting is false and that no lead actors have been considered yet,
He also revealed that the planning for this film was underway. We can’t wait to see who Karan Johar ropes in for the upcoming project.
The film Dear Comrade will hit the theatres on July 26, 2019, in four languages- Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. Dear Comrade is written and directed by Bharat Kamma and stars Jayaprakash, Sukanya, Brahmaji, Rao Ramesh and Shruti Ramachandran in prominent roles.
