A recent incident that shook the nation took place in Jamshedpur where a 3-year-old girl sleeping next to her mother at a railway station was kidnapped, raped and beheaded. While the perpetrators have been caught on the CCTV footage of the station, many people expressed their anger on the rising number of rape cases in the country.
Zero actor Anushka Sharma also took to Twitter to express her anger over the incident and sought justice for the victim and her family.
The 31-year-old actress expressed her feelings on hearing about the ‘absolutely horrifying’ case and mentioned that perpetrators of such a crime should be given the severest punishment. Not just this, Anushka mentioned that just hearing about the incident enraged her and that the lawmakers should put an end to such instances by taking some strict actions. Anushka shared a series of tweets over the Jamshedpur rape case and was among the many people who were left enraged about the incident.
Anushka tweeted, "A 3 year old girl who was sleeping besides her mother at a railway station was kidnapped, gangraped and beheaded in Jamshedpur.
This is so inhuman and vile, it is literally making me shake in anger. Absolutely horrifying I hope and wish and urge justice is brought upon this atrocity at the earliest. And punishment so severe that anyone else shudders to commit such a heinous, demonic crime !”
As per reports, 3 of the people identified via the CCTV footage have been caught by the police.
The authorities swung into action immediately after the incident was reported by the infant’s mother. The news of the Jamshedpur rape case has come at a time when the nation is enraged over the Unnao rape case and is making headlines already.
