Ind vs SL, 2nd Test, Day 1: India finish at 11-1, trail by 194 runs
India posted 11 for the loss of one wicket at stumps on Day one of the second Test against Sri Lanka on Friday, trailing the visitors by 194 runs.
The only wicket that the hosts lost was that of KL Rahul, as Lahiru Gamage dismissed the opener. Earlier, Sri Lanka had opted to bat after winning the toss.
But, nothing went right for them as they started losing wickets from the beginning.
The only relief for the Lankan tigers was that of knocks by opener Dimuth Karunaratne (51) and captain Dinesh Chandimal (57).
The hosts will hope to bounce back and take a good lead when they return to action on Day two of the current Test match.
The Indian bowlers had dominated the innings, with Ishant Sharma having taken three wickets, while Ravichandran Ashwin took four. Ravindra Jadeja also joined the party, having taken three wickets.
