After years of dating, Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor had called it quits back in 2016. While Ranbir had still opened up about the break-up and shooting together post they parted ways, Katrina continued to maintain a stoic silence.
Two years after the breakup, that left their fans and well-wishers heartbroken, Katrina, it seems, has now opened up about what all was going on in her mind at that point in time.
The actor, who will next be seen in Bharat alongside Salman Khan, shared she now sees it all as a blessing as the break-up gave her time for self-evaluation. She added that emerged out of it with a whole new perspective about thought processes and things she had so far been sure of in her life.
In an interview with vogue, Katrina said, “I now see it as a blessing because I was able to recognise my patterns, thought processes and things that I had been so sure of my whole life. I could see them from a whole different perspective.”
She further told the magazine that it was one of the few times in her life that she only had herself to focus on and owing to that, she realised that she didn't really know herself. Katrina has been quoted as saying, “It’s like a period of not knowing, a period of being uncomfortable because you’re seeing yourself in your raw form without embellishments and then accepting that you don’t really know who you are.”
Apart from their personal relationship, the duo has collaborated on films including Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani, Rajneeti and more recently, Jagga Jasoos.
The fans continue to rever their onscreen equation and for the all the right reasons. While Katrina is occupied with Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, Ranbir is busy shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra alongside his girlfriend and actor Alia Bhatt and all seems to be well in the lovers' paradise.
