Getting into the skin of a character is what makes real actors stand out from others. And who else can better explain that apart from Deepika Padukone, who has time and again always gifted us with memorable characters that are still fresh in the minds of the audience. It's been quite a while since we saw the star on the big screens, however, the actress has quite a few big projects lined up.
Deepika recently wrapped up Meghna Gulzar's 'Chhapaak' in which she plays the character Malti who is an acid attack victim.
The actress is currently playing the role of Romi Dev, the wife of former world cup winning Indian captain Kapil Dev, in Kabir Khan's upcoming directorial '83'. Deepika will be paired opposite her hubby Ranveer Singh in the film. Both being strong and intense characters, it will obviously take time for the actress to switch roles.
Talking about the same in a recent interview, Deepika revealed that she took to cleaning her house to help her with the switching of roles between Malti and Romi Dev.
The actress said that she has always believed that a character never really leaves the system entirely. So she took to cleaning and organizing things around her home to help her cope with switching from Malti to Romi. The 'Padmaavat' actress further revealed it helps her de-stress and clear her mind of any clutter.
'83' will narrate the historic tale of India winning the 1983 cricket world cup. Ranveer Singh will step into the shoes of Kapil Dev in the film.
The team is currently shooting London. Deepika essays the role of his wife Romi Dev in the film. '83' is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2020. Meanwhile on the other hand, 'Chhapaak' is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
