Bhansali had made the announcement for the film in the month of October 2019. “Bhansali usually takes a long time to complete his films, a year plus maybe sometimes two. His film Devdas took a long time in the making due to several issues, but this time, Bhansali has planned a lot of things meticulously because he wants to make and release the film this year after Inshallah with Salman did not work out. Not one to ever fight with or offend any of his actors, Bhansali decided to come in September when the film will have a solo release,” says our source.

Bhansali, in a career span of 25 years, starting with his first release Khamoshi-The Musical in 1996, has only nine releases thus far.
