When the makers wanted to shoot in real locations, they had recently approached the Chinese government to shoot a few portions in the East Asian country, but their request was declined

The film’s director, Vipul Shah said, 'The Chinese government refused to give us permission to shoot there due to the film’s subject. We are still trying (to convince them) although I don’t think they will agree. So, we are also trying to figure out an alternate location. The sequel will be a step ahead from the first film (Force, 2011). We have shot some good action sequences in the first schedule'.

The film deals with multiple intelligence agencies including India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and the Ministry of State Security (Chinese intelligence agency). Since the Chinese government wasn’t comfortable with their intelligence wing’s portrayal on screen, they did not provide permission for the shoot
