Actor Farhan Akhtar, who previously essayed the role of athlete Milkha Singh in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', now ready for another challenge.
If sources to be believed, Akhtar will play a boxer in his next.
Reportedly The movie will focus on a father-son's relationship with boxing at its backdrop. It will be directed by Mohit Suri, Farhan and Suri will be working together for the first time.
The report also suggests that, Farhan has already begun prepping for the role and working on his body.
The movie will cover the journey of Farhan's character in detail and he will be seen playing the role of both a son and a father to a young kid.
In a statement, Mohit said that he approached Farhan along with Goldie Behl and Farhan really liked the script.
He further added that while he is an original story, penned by Mohit himself, there might be traces of the Hollywood flick, 'The Champ'.
The story is very close to Mohit's heart and highlights his relationship with his father.
"I was eight when my mother passed away, and my father raised me on his own. The story is about the struggle he faced as a single dad at 36," he was quoted as saying. Currently on the lookout for someone to play Farhan's son, he will leave for the US for two weeks before he gets started with this project.
