Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on April 15 for a treatment of high fever and nausea, was discharged from the hospital on Thursday.
As per the report, doctors had earlier planned to discharge the actor yesterday evening but decided against it as they felt morning would be a better time for discharge keeping in mind the patient’s wellbeing.
The actor looking hale and hearty, superstar actor wearing a light pink shirt he wheeled out of the hospital at approximately 11.55 am and was accompanied by wife Saira Banu
The actor suffered the high fever and vomiting on Saturday morning following which he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital.
Dilip Kumar’s wife, Saira Banu had earlier said that the he was hospitalised as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection, and respiratory problems.
The veteran star, whose real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan, acted in many superhit movies during his six-decade long career such as “Madhumati”, “Devdas”, “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Ganga Jamuna”, “Ram Aur Shyam” and “Karma”.
The actor was last seen in the film "Qila" in 1998. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
The veteran actress Saira Banu's manager Murshid Khan told IANS "Dilip sir has been discharged and he is back home. He is feeling better now."
