Deepika Padukone on legalizing same-sex marriage: Feels strange to me that we even have to ask that question
Ever since the Supreme Court of India made the path-breaking judgment of decriminalizing homosexuality,
There has been a lot of conversation about the same and many in the film fraternity have taken initiatives to try and tell stories that have messages about the same, topics that have never been talked about but, there is dialogue about the same now. And now,Deepika Padukone has spoken up something that might be what many of us abide by in our hearts regarding legalizing same-sex marriages.
Deepika expressed her views on same-sex marriage and went on to say things that sure need everyone to ponder upon.
The actress went on to say how she feels strange that there is even a need to ask this question and that we have to address it.
She added further how we must not allow ourselves to even be in a place where someone else is the one dictating how or with whom someone wants to spend the rest of their lives.
Most recently, Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Anil Kapoor, and Juhi Chawla starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga narrated the story of a lesbian couple and now, we will also be seeing a gay love story with Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
Meanwhile, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film Chhapaak which will also co-star Vikrant Massey.
Reports also suggest that the actress will be joining husbandRanveer Singh for a mini-vacation while the actor kick-starts the schedule of his film ’83.
