The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday said that it has summoned Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning in a drug-related case.
The drug law enforcement agency has also summoned Deepika's manager Karishma Prakash, however, she could not appear before the agency on Tuesday due to ill-health.
Prakash has been exempted from appearance before the anti-drug agency till Friday. Now according to Republic TV report, the actress has blamed Karishma and talent manager Jaya Saha for revealing the "drug" chats. The report further stated that the actress got in touch with a 12-member legal team in Mumbai via video call and it is being said that her hubby Ranveer Singh was a part of it.
Meanwhile, she has been summoned for questioning on September 25. She is expected to return to Mumbai today. Deepika flew to Goa last week to shoot for director Shakun Batra’s untitled film.
The development comes in the wake of the investigation into a drug-related case linked to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
