Salman Khan is by far Bollywood's most celebrated superstar today, and the two films that elevated him to this untouchable stature, were Prabhudeva's 'Wanted' and Abhinav Kashyap's 'Dabangg'.
The action films were a major turning point in his career, so much so that Sallu is yet to deliver a dud ever since.
While 'Dabangg's sequel was helmed by Salman's brother and co-star from the film Arbaaz Khan, 'Wanted' never had a sequel, until today.
Prabhu Deva is expected to get an official announcement soon, after Salman gave him the go ahead, after suggesting a basic plot to the actor-director.
Nevertheless, this has put Arbaaz Khan's 'Dabangg 3' in jeopardy, as the movie has now been indefinitely pushed, since Sallu is expected to work on Prabhu's directorial, right after he completes work on 'Tiger Zinda Hai'.
This has reportedly angered Arbaaz as he was starting work on the film at the earliest.
A close source reveals, "Arbaaz Khan has been planning to direct Dabangg 3 for the longest time only his brother Salman's tight schedule isn't letting Dabangg 3 to happen. Salman, who finished Tubelight and shooting Tiger Zinda Hai will start Wanted 2 soon after which is why Dabangg 3 has been pushed. And Arbaaz isn’t exactly pleased with this development and is upset with Salman."
Easily, i can merely hope for the matter to be resolved amicably, as no one wants a Khan family feud.
Salman is slated to be seen in Kabir Khan's Eid 2017 release 'Tubelight' next, co-starring brother Sohail Khan, along with a crucial cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The film is slated for release on June 25.
