Nawazuddin, started farming at a young age, though his father always emphasised on getting a formal education. He exited on to get a degree in chemistry, but the passion for agriculture never left him. He was recently named the brand ambassador for the state's flagship Kisan Beema Yojna, something he says he relates to.

Further, he says that coming home and farming is like a detox regime and an inspiration. He observes and understands characters in the village and uses them in his movies. "My character in the movie Talaash was inspired from here and my search for inspiration always brings me back to my roots," Nawazuddin said.
