After astonishing everyone with his performance in Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor is now gearing up for his first collaboration, Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt. The power couple has teamed up for Ayan Mukerji's sci-fi project that will hit the screens in December, this year.

Brahmastra is being made as a fantasy trilogy, the first installment of which is slated to release on Christmas 2019.

"It was spectacular, guys. The whole experience was just so...oh my God! The vibe, the energy...it was so pure and it was just so beautiful. I'm so grateful that we got to experience that and launch our logo at the mela," the actress revealed in her Instagram story, shortly after her return from the Kumbh Mela. About Brahmastra, Ranbir had once said, "It is actually a supernatural romantic fairy tale at heart. Ayan will never make a character that doesn’t have truth to it, or which is unbelievable. It’s too early to talk about the film, but it is something I am terribly excited about,"

At Kumbh Mela 2019, Alia shared the official logo of the film on Twitter. She wrote, "Saare astron ka devta!" Alia had also shared videos from the launch and said, "Still can’t get over this moment when #Brahmastra lit up the sky. Oh,and we are releasing official movie logo tomorrow. Stay tuned! #Kumbh2019."

Ayan had earlier revealed that Ranbir was his first call during the ideation of Brahmastra. Today, he shared the actor's first look test for the film.

Rumi said, Love is the bridge between you and everything...’, and that feeling is the foundation we started building the protagonist of this movie on... But then, there was new inspiration, newer thoughts... Dragon became Brahmstra, we gave Ranbir a haircut, and Rumi became... Shiva."
