Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 to be screened on the opening night of the London Indian Film Festival 2019
It is a matter of pride for any filmmaker when his film gets selected to be screened at a prestigious film festival for global audiences.
It is even a prouder feeling for the actor who has played a part in the film as it adds more value to his work. Speaking of this, the team of Article 15, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, has been rejoicing since it has been selected for the prestigious London Indian Film Festival. The film is all set to be screened on the opening night of the grand film fest.
As per a report of a magazine, London Indian Film Festival is among a renowned extravaganza of movies where many prolific guests come to enjoy world cinema.
It is supported by Bagri Foundation and the British Film Institute. Guests like Radhika Apte, Anurag Kashyap and more will be in attendance at the 10th edition of the London Indian Film Festival. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s film Photograph will also be screened in the film festival, but on the closing night.
The London Indian Film Festival is set to begin on June 20 and will go on till July 6. Ayushmann will be seen playing the role of a cop in Anubhav Sinha’s serious drama Article 15.
The film is based on an Article in the Constitution of India which prohibits discrimination against anyone on the basis of caste, creed, religion, sex and more. The film also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa. It has been shot in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and will be a change for Ayushmann from the fun roles he has played in the past. It is slated to release in India on June 28, 2019.
