Media source had earlier reported that after the 2017 sleeper hit 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', Ayushmann Khurrana will feature in its sequel, 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan', which revolves around a same-sex couple.
The film, which is written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya, went on the floors in September and was shot extensively in Varanasi.
The shoot was wrapped up in the city of temples on November 20. Now, we have learnt that the team of this social-comedy is set to reunite soon in Mumbai to shoot a special song.
According to a source close to the development, the makers have bought the rights to the popular 2011 Punjabi song, 'Gabru', which was composed by Honey Singh.
“It will be shot over a period of four to five days at a studio in Mumbai with Ayushmann, his on-screen partner, Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and the rest of the cast,” the source revealed.
The song is being recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and will be choreographed by Bosco Martis.
“It’s a family dance number, and unlike most of the recreations today, this one will be a part of the narrative,” the source informed. Noting that the original had a very 'desi feel', which was loved by the audience, Tanishk added, “We will retain the feel of the track and add something special for music lovers. I am excited to be working on this track.” The Bhushan Kumar and Aanand L Rai production, which is gearing up for a release on February 21 next year, marks the reunion of Neena and Gajraj after the National Award-winning social-comedy, 'Badhaai Ho', in which they played parents to Ayushmann.
