Daddy is an upcoming political crime drama film co-written and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. The film stars Arjun Rampal, who also co-wrote the film, and he is portraying gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli.
Arjun Rampal is raising the bar with his gangster look in his upcoming movie, 'Daddy'.
While we are excited to see the film this month, there is a slight delay in the release date. The film was slated to release this July on 21st, 2017. But now it is postponed to September.
Reportedly, after Arun Gawli's daughter Geeta's request, Arjun Rampal and 'Daddy' makers have planned to delay the release.
The film will now release in September when Arun Gawli might come out on a parole. Geeta wants her father to speak about this film as it has an emotional connect with his real life.
Talking about her meeting with Arjun Rampal, Geeta said, "I am really excited to show the film to everyone and I felt it would be special and auspicious to have the film released when my dad was out on parole.
She continued, “I am really hoping that he gets parole at the time. I want the world to see the film and know the real daddy who has been our pillar of strength for so many years. I wanted them to release the film in September instead."
The film is now set to release on 8th September, 2017. Elaborating further about 'Daddy', Geeta said, "To see Daddy in person and on screen is very different.
“We cannot wait for the movie and are overwhelmed by the trailer. Arjun and Ashim have shown every aspect of our father's life in this movie. We have no words to describe what we are going through. Over the last three years, Arjun has really understood my father and I really respect that he has kept his feelings in mind and made this movie while staying true to the ups and downs that he has endured in his life” she concluded.
