Arjun Kapoor to play the lead in Arjun Reddy Hindi remake?
Later on, many speculations about other Bollywood actors, it seems like Arjun Kapoor is finally on-board for the Hindi remake of Sandeep Vanga’s Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy'.
A source told the daily, "Yes, it's dead on target. Though it has taken three-four months of continuous and tireless efforts, the rights have gone out. Murad Khetani (producer) has officially bagged it, but Arjun too put in his share of efforts to ensure that the rights came through." Discovering about the plotline, the source added, "The movie will be like a Rockstar meets Dev. D. Likewise, since the film’s rights have been bought at a high price and it’s not going to be a typical masala potboiler, Arjun doesn’t want to overburden the project with his fee.
He doesn’t want the budget to become an impediment and instead points to understand a quality film minus any compromises."
"Arjun had worked in the profit-sharing basis in 'Ki & Ka' as well, but this fourth dimension, he wants his involvement to be more articulated. Regarding the fact that Arjun Reddy got an A certificate, the Hindi version will also be a mature and tender film with an intense love story at its core," further added the author.
It has been said that Arjun will meet the producers of the film to have a talk about the possible collaboration.
"There are chances that the original film’s director (Sandeep Vanga) will helm this version too, but all such details - including when the film goes on the floor - will be decided upon when the makers and Arjun meet later this month or early on in February."
The original film had Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles.
'Arjun Reddy' tells the tale of a young and brilliant medico titular character, Arjun Reddy with anger management issues. The film dispenses with the contemporary publications in urban youth upon love failure and got critical acclaim and won a cult following among youth in two Telugu states.
